Trip Overview

Ladakh (meaning "land of high mountain passes") is a mountainous region in North India. Leh, the main city is situated at 3500m above sea level nestled in the great Himalayan, Karakoram, Zanskar, and Ladakh ranges. Ladakh is known for remote mountain beauty, studded with monasteries and stupas. Ladakh is often referred as "Little Tibet" due to its geographical proximity and strong links to Tibetan culture. Capital: Leh Area: 98 000 square km Climate: Ladakh is a rain shadow region of the Himalayas, the annual average rainfall in Leh is 100 mm. In summer, the temperature reaches 25°C and it drops to -15°C in winters.

Day 1- Arrive in Leh.

  • Reach Ladakh by Morning.
  • After relaxation & Freshening up get ready for your local sightseeing. Visit monastery & engage with monks.
  • Visit Ladakh's local market for some shopping & explore local cafes for some Ladakhi cuisine.

Day 2- Leh Local Sightseeing.

  • Have an amazing breakfast & morning at Leh.
  • After that get ready for Leh Local sightseeing, you can visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Spituk Gompa, etc.
  • By evening get back to your hotel for an Overnight stay & Dinner.

 

Day 3- Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass.

  • Post breakfast drives to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass which is the highest motorable road in the world.
  • Upon your arrival at Nubra Valley, get checked in to our Camp/Hotel in Hunder for an overnight stay.
  • In the evening you can walk around the fairytale village & can enjoy a rare "Double Humped Cammel" safari (at your own cost).

Day 4-Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok.

  • Post breakfast heads towards Pangong Tso via Shyok.
  • En route, you can enjoy the scenic Beauty of might Himalayas and can also visit Druk Padma Karpo School in Ladakh, popularly known as 'Rancho's School', which is delighted about the fame of the Aamir Khan-starrer '3 Idiots'.
  • Upon your arrival at Pangong Tso, get checked in to our Camp/Hotel in Hunder for an overnight stay.

Day 5- Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok.

  • Wake-up calls by the migratory birds this morning. Indulge in the walk beside the lake or go for a photography splurge.
  • Later Drive back to Leh via Changla Pass. En-route visit Hemis Gompa & Thiskey monastery.
  • Upon your arrival at Leh get checked in to our Hotel/Camp for an overnight stay.

Day 6- Depart from Leh.
