Trip Overview

Ladakh (meaning "land of high mountain passes") is a mountainous region in North India. Leh, the main city is situated at 3500m above sea level nestled in the great Himalayan, Karakoram, Zanskar, and Ladakh ranges. Ladakh is known for remote mountain beauty, studded with monasteries and stupas. Ladakh is often referred to as "Little Tibet" due to its geographical proximity and strong links to Tibetan culture. Capital: Leh Area: 98 000 square km Climate: Ladakh is a rain shadow region of the Himalayas, the annual average rainfall in Leh is 100 mm. In summer, the temperature reaches 25°C and it drops to -15°C in winters.

Day 1 - Arrival and Transfer to Leh

  • Hotel Arrival at Leh airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a complete day of rest for acclimatization, wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the Hotel. Post lunch visits Leh Market, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa. Stay overnight in Leh.

Day 2 - Leh - Nubra

  • After Breakfast drives to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) continue drive till Hunder village. On arrival check in to the Camp. After lunch enjoys the beauty of sand dunes. Stay overnight in Nubra Valley.

Day 3 - Nubra - Pangong

  • We will start the day following the same route towards Leh till we reach Khalsar. From the Agyam bridge, we will take the left route which leads us to the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. The road after Shyok is good but very steep. After Durbuk, take left towards Tangtse and follow the traditional route. Drive further to Pangong Lake, one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Situated at 14000 ft, more than half of the lake is within the Chinese Territory and only one-third part lies in India. Stay Overnight in Pangong.

Day 4 - Pangong - Leh

  • Early morning enjoys the picturesque view of Sunrise on the lake. After breakfast drives back to Leh via Changla Pass. Visit Thiksey and Shey Palace. Stay overnight in Leh. Day 5 - TOUR END After Breakfast, check out from Hotel and return transfer to Airport / Railway Station
